I need to set ChromeDriver properties like "browser.download.dir", etc to implement file download scenarios. Currently I see no way to change them.

                • Expose TestObject property of PageObject class as "protected"

Sometimes when writing actions on a PageObject, it is necessary to run some javascript or perform other operations that can only be done through the Provider (IWebDriver).

The test class holds (or provides access to) the active web driver, Provider, through its public "Provider" property. The PageObject accepts a constructor parameter of type FluentTest which it stores in a private "TestObject" property.

Unfortunately, the "TestObject" property is private, so is not accessible to any PageObject subclasses.

The awkwardness associated with keeping "Provider" dependent actions encapsulated in the relevant PageObject could be sorted out if the "TestObject" property on the "PageObject"…

In AwaitAjaxCalls javascript is executed to wait until all active connections are closed. Respects timeout settings. Javascript code to get active connections defaults to jQuery. Can be oberwritten in Settings

                    • Use existing selector engine from web page instead of injecting sizzle

Understandably, FluentAutomation injects Sizzle into the pages under test so that it can provide us with the wonderful jQuery selector syntax. It then does `window.fluentjQuery = jQuery.noConflict();` so that the previous value of $ is restored and it can then use the "fluentjQuery" object to run DOM queries.

This injection+ noConflict() broke one of my scripts which was expecting a plugin that had been applied to the initial $ and could potentially cause some wonkiness in sites that already have jQuery.

I was able to work around this problem by always having a script on my website that sets fluentjQuery…

                      • Allow non-static copy of Settings

The Settings class suffers from the usual problems associated with global variables. Primarily, it is not possible to reliably have different settings on different concurrent tests. Additionally, multiple tests executed in series may set certain settings that affect the behaviour of subsequent tests because settings are persistent for the duration of the AppDomain.

Is is possible to allow the caller to pass in an instance of a settings class when calling Open or a similar mechanism? It could be that the current design does not easily allow this.

                        • Support to pass configuration parameters through to webdriver creation in bootstrap. Particularly for specifying the proxy to PhantomJs

Couldnt currently find a way to pass through extra
parameters to the webdriver creation. Suggest an overload with some extra arguments parameter.

A NoWarning() assertion could also be useful to prevent future problems.

                              • Add support for screen scraping to capture the html of the entire page

This would be really handy in the context of an SPA. It would be great if the PhantomJS process could be called up on demand when the website is being crawled by search engines.

                                • I.Expect.Text().In() should support IEnumerable<IElement>

I.Expect.Text().In() currently only works for single items, it should have an overload to support many. I have already implemented it in my code library so I know its an easy add.

                                  • Provide user with a tool to validate and/or generate selectors

I currently use http://sk.kapsi.fi/interactive-jquery-tester.html, but I would like a better tool that doesn't freak out if the source gets a little big.

I think this would make the framework more accessible to newbies.
